Make-up Trend: Greenish-Brown Smoky Eyes

In an upcoming issue of Filmfare, Katrina Kaif's sexy smoky eyes make us green with envy. "Katrina wears some neutrals, so I wanted to smoke up the eyes a bit to add some glamour," said make-up artist Mickey Contractor. Rather than opting for traditional black and gray shadow, he layered a blend of bronze and forest green hues, rimmed the eyes in a bronzy eyeliner, and finished with a few swipes of mascara.

Anonymous said...: She looks so beautiful, could you please give some ideas as to the products used to achieve this look. Perhaps a few hints on the technique involved? Would you just mix a bronze and green or would one be on the lid and the other in the crease?

For the eyes, apply a neutral shadow on the entire lid, and then apply the forst green in the crease, and on the outter lid, apply the bronze in the crease over the forest green, make sure to blend everything real well, so it looks polished.; June 5, 2010 5:26 PM
