Freida Pinto's Make-up Breakdown

One feature that Freida Pinto always highlights are her gorgeous eyes and her high cheekbones. To get her go-to look, follow these steps by ace make-up artist Jeffery Paul. For the skin, Jeffrey Paul use a foundation brush to apply concealer under the eyes and around the nose and topped it with loose powder. To create Pinto's intense eyes, he used shades of black, brown and gray: "They look dramatic on Freida and enhance her natural coloring," Jeffrey Paul says. He lined the eyes with a rich brown liner, and applied a smoky shadow with silver shimmer from the lash line to the crease. He then brushed a beige shadow from under her brow to the crease, blending that into the dark silvery shade. He applied pink blush lightly to the apple of her cheeks and finished the look with berry lip gloss.

"Accenting the eyes with a rich brown liner gives them depth and warmth," says Jeffrey Paul, who smudged the liner after rimming the eyes.

Make-up Trend: Cherry Red Lips

Rani Mukherji shows us that cherry red lips can be both innocent and sensual, on this month's issue of Hi! Blitz. In Fall it's all about a satin finish for a classic look. Avoid lip liner, which can seem overdone, and tap the color on with your finger so the edges aren't too precise. Too vampy? Add a dab of clear gloss just in the center of the bottom lip. You want the lips to look juicy, not uber glossy.

Make-up Trend: Pearly Nude Lipgloss

Dia looked absolutely stunning with soft, yet natural eyes with a hint of color on her cheeks and pearly nude lips. To get her lip look, choose a shade with pink undertones. When you're doing a beige lip, you need something on your eyes. Otherwise, you look lifeless. A hint of kajal or mascara would look great with a nude lip.

While fellow ambassadress Kareena Kapoor went for glossy lips in her ad, Preity Zinta took a walk on the matte side in her new Gitanjali ad this week by sporting a muted nude lip. If your favorite lipstick has a bit too much sheen, you can mattify it by dabbing freshly applied color with a light dusting of translucent face powder, which will soak up the lipstick's oils.

Make-up Trend: Metallic Smoky Eyes

To get Kareena's metallic smoky eyes she's sporting on the latest Gitanjali ad, blend a silver shadow like M.A.C Silver Ring Eye Shadow on the lids, keeping the brow bones bare. Apply M.A.C Carbon Eye Shadow in the crease and outter corners of the eyes. Apply M.A.C Smolder Eye Kohl along the upper and lower rims. Coat lashes with M.A.C Plush Lash Mascara. Using a small brush, apply brown shadow such as M.A.C Bronze Eye Shadow underneath your lower lashes. Brown might seem like an odd pairing with silver, but it gives an unexpected softness to the look.

Make-up Trend: Peachy, Coral Cheeks

To accentuate a summer glow like Katrina Kaif, warm up your complexion with a sheer wash of creamy peach blush rubbed into the apples of the cheeks and temples. (Powder formulas can look cakey in the heat.) Another added bonus? Apricot tones are especially flattering if you've gotten a little too much sun.

Make-up Trend: Copper Eye Shadow

There's no secret that gold, bronze and copper are the it colors for this fall. It's all about dazzling earth tone metallics, like those on the sultry Raima Sen. To keep the look fresh, add glints of rosy gold on your brow bones.

Black eye liner can look too severe next to gold shadow, so line your eyes with dark brown and sweep gold liner along your inner rims for extra pizazz.

Make-up Trend: Smoky Teal Eyes

Gita Soto, who makes her debut in the upcoming movie Veer, channels her inner mermaid in her latest photoshoot. To get Gita's teal smoky eyes, apply two shades of eye shadow: a light mossy green on the lids and along the lower lash lines and an iridescent teal in the creases and outter corners. The key is to blend, blend, blend. That way the two colors will melt together and you'll get a nice smoky effect. Curl your lashes and apply two coats of black mascara.

Keep it simple and you can't go wrong. I am fanatic about cleansing. Make-up Trend: Rosy Pink Cheeks

The most natural way to get cheeks that flush is by using a rosy gel or liquid like Ayesha Takia Azmi does. These absorb directly into the skin, rather than laying on top like powder blush. Just dab onto the apples of your cheeks using your fingertips. To fix any streaks, wet your fingertips and gently sweep over the area.

Lisa Ray's Make-up Breakdown at the Miss USA Pageant 2009

Lisa Ray looked absolutely gorgeous in her Pria Kataria outfit, she was positively glowing and looked stunning. My fellow blogger and friend Indian Girl exclusively uncovered her make-up for the event.

On to the breakdown, her make-up was done by the well-known make-up artist to the A-listers, Kerry Malouf. When asked about her thoughts on Lisa she said, "Lisa Ray is a pure ray of sunshine to work with! I'm lucky to be her makeup artist in Los Angeles and it's always such a pleasure to paint her beautiful face! I recently did her makeup for a special event she was hosting while in town. We decided to go with a colorful, glamorous look as she was judging a Beauty Pageant. "

I started with the Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in Golden on her. This Moisture Tint is SPF 20, it's oil free, it's hyper allergenic, it's water resistant, and it has Gingko Biloba which offers calming and soothing properties.

I lightly applied the Jouer Age-Repairing Brightening Stick under her eyes. I love this product because it has light diffusing multi mineral pigments in it that deflect light.

I accentuated her cheek bones with Amarylis Cheek Tint.

I gave her a sexy smokey eye by using Caviar Powder Eye Shadow blended with Creme Organza Eye Shadow. Jouer makes my favorite eye liners! They are formulated with Vitamin A & Vitamin E which prevents the color from creasing and fading. I framed her eye with Noir Eye Definer and used the Noir Conditioning Mascara.

For the lips, I ended with Elizabeth Hydrating Lipstick which has the powerful moisturizing properties of Brazils Cupuac'u Butter. This is a really popular color that is a must have! It's a sheer berry pink."
