WLIFW Backstage Beauty 2009: JJ Valaya

This look was an interpretation of Vimi Joshi's look done by Martina Luisetti

Earlier I blogged about the trends at J J Valaya's show here. Martina Luisetti was kind enough to share her make-up breakdown of the look with me. The products used here are: Studio Sculpt Foundation (though on this look I used Studio Fix Fluid mixed with Strobe Cream) Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder to set and to contour the cheeks. The lips were concealed and Blackberry Eyeshadow to give some color and for a matte finish. On the eyes we used Smolder Eye Kohl to blend and Deep Truth Eye Shadow dusted on top of it. Carbon Eye Shadow to intensify and Zoom Black Mascara on the lashes. Brows were intensified done with Dark Edge and Typographic Eyeshadow.

I am loving your daily updates. There is so much to read & learn here.

Hey tell me, how does one use eye shadow on the lips. Heard that for the first time here.

@Monika,Ansh; I agree, Fashion Week teaches me so much, and I am glad you're enjoying the updates. Well you can use pretty much anything on the lips as long as it doesnt contain any harmful dyes etc. But for fashion shows etc, make-up artists might improvise if they cannot get a certain color or something. So they might use a blush/shadow somewhere to get that desired effect.
