Make-up Trend: Shades of Purple

Makeup artist Clint Fernandes, who did Bipasha Basu's makeup, calls this look "Classic with a hint of color." On the eyes he used an eggplant shade of purple as the dominant color, which he says is much easier to wear than lilac.

Using CoverGirl Eye Enhancers in Ice Princess, Clint applied the eggplant shadow to the crease of the eye and underneath it for definition. He paired that with an opalescent gray shadow on the lid to open up the eye. He finished with eyeliner on the top for definition and "tons of lashes."

I find it very difficult to coordinate shadows with dresses.
With which colours can I wear this shade of purple?

I do love the makeup on Bips. It's very bold and really accentuates the almond shape of her eyes. You really have to be ok with attracting a lot of attention with this version of the smokey eye because with this look, your eyes will be the center of attention!

Her outfit, on the other hand, is a disappointment ;)

Monika.Ansh,

You can wear purples with gold, black, teal, blue, pink...

Honestly the best advice i could give u is trial and error, try mixing diff colors together, and see what u like. Make-up is all about experimenting!

Desipolitan,

I totally agree, her dress is hideous, but those bold smokey eyes look amazing on her, she's a stunning woman I just wish she would pick out better dresses.
